About The Position

The Painter helps ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained hotel environment while providing courteous, professional, and engaging maintenance services to guests. The role maintains public areas, guest rooms, meeting rooms, and corridors, including painting, wallpapering, and plastering, and performs preventive maintenance in guest rooms according to Omni CARE program guidelines. The Painter maintains paint supplies and materials, responds to requests, assists engineers and mechanics with repairs, and keeps work areas clean. The position also involves helping guests locate areas of the hotel and understanding Omni's systems, procedures, fire alarm procedures, and emergency evacuation procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a commercial painter is required.
• Ability to brush, roll, and spray paint and work on different textures.
• Ability to patch, float, and repair damaged surfaces.
• Ability to work with stains, lacquers, varnishes, epoxy, and Bondo.
• Ability to apply caulk.
• Willingness to work according to business and occupancy levels.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Ability to interact and communicate with hotel guests.

• Hotel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain public areas, guest rooms, meeting rooms, and corridors, including painting, wallpapering, and plastering.
• Perform preventive maintenance of guest rooms according to Omni CARE program guidelines.
• Maintain inventory of paint supplies and materials and communicate when replenishment is needed.
• Assist guests in locating hotel areas and walk them to their destination when possible.
• Understand Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation procedures.
• Become familiar with Omni's systems and procedures.
• Respond to all requests.
• Assist engineers and mechanics with repairs as needed.
• Keep all work areas clean.
