About The Position

BHC Alhambra Hospital is seeking a Painter to join their team. This is a Per Diem position with various hours/days, not exceeding 20 hours weekly. The Handyman/Painter is responsible for daily painting, fixing minor issues, and light repairs to maintain the building. The role involves performing light repairs, light plumbing, and fixing minor electrical issues. The painter will also repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs, and other parts of the building. Maintaining a clean work area by covering surfaces with protective coverings is essential. The position also requires assisting the Director of Plant Operations as needed and reporting any situations that may affect the health and wellbeing of patients or employees. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with good time management skills.

Requirements

A minimum of one (1) year experience in handyman/painter duties, preferably in a health care facility.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
May be required to work variable shifts, overtime and flexible hours.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform light repairs, light plumbing, and fix minor electrical issues.
Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs and other parts of the building.
Keep area clean with covering trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop clothes and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint.
Assist the Director of Plant Operations as needed.
Report any situations that may affect the health and wellbeing of patients or employees.
