Requirements

• Mechanical and Mathematical aptitude.
• Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a mechanical-based setting
• Experience with sanding and masking
• 1+ years of experience painting aviation or auto components

Responsibilities

• Prepare aircraft components for a paint job by performing thorough sanding, masking, and priming procedures, ensuring smooth and flawless surfaces.
• Inspect components to identify imperfections, scratches, or dents that require repair or attention.
• Responsible for painting, base coat application, refinishing, corrosion treatment and curing requirements.
• Maintain and enforce a clean workstation/Paint Booths, free from Foreign Object/Debris (FOD) including tooling used to perform painting duties.
• Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (or equivalent) guidelines.
• Adhere to Cobalt’s Repair Station Quality Manual and internal processes.
• Ensure your work area is neat, clean, and in safe condition.
• Observe, implement and uphold company safety and OSHA guidelines and company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies. (e.g. safety glasses, respirators, ear protection, etc.)
• Perform other duties as assigned.
