About The Position
This position is open for Contractor Conversions only. The role involves preparing paint areas, painting components using appropriate spray techniques, preparing the bus for painting by masking areas, mixing paints, working with solvents, identifying paint defects and their root causes, and maintaining basic safety precautions when handling paints and solvents.
Requirements
- Ability to repair and paint defects
- Ability to perform painting in hard to reach and awkward positions
- Ability to perform task in full gear of painter’s PPE, including respirator
- Ability to walk/stand up to 10 hours per day
Nice To Haves
- Experience with automotive body repairs
- At least 1 year of automotive hands-on experience with paint
- Good mechanical aptitude
Responsibilities
- Prepare paint area appropriately to result in good paint application that meets paint specification criteria
- Paint components using appropriate spray techniques and adjust spray equipment as appropriate
- Prepare the bus to mask the areas that will be painted
- Mix paints and work with solvents
- Identify paint defects and root cause
- Maintain basic safety precautions when handling paints/solvents
