Peerless Pump Company, an Indianapolis based subsidiary of Grundfos, is seeking an experienced Painter to join its Paint & Prep group. As our new Painter, you will be preparing and painting manufactured products to high-quality standards using electrostatic and conventional spray techniques in our Indianapolis, IN manufacturing facility. Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED/HSE/HiSET, or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, kneeling/crouching, and twisting
  • Able to obtain respirator certification
  • Authorization to work in the USA without sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in industrial painting or a similar manufacturing environment
  • Experience with electrostatic painting equipment and techniques
  • Proficiency with material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, hoists) and power tools
  • Veterans with MOS experience maintaining and repairing sophisticated or precision mechanical systems are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring every product leaving our facility meets the highest standards of finish quality and protection, directly supporting on-time delivery to our customers.
  • Clean, prepare, prime, seal, and paint surfaces of manufactured products using electrostatic spray equipment
  • Apply protective coatings including paint, enamel, and varnish to meet quality specifications
  • Install nameplates, labels, decals, coupling guards, and flange covers on finished products
  • Perform routine maintenance on paint booth, equipment, and materials to ensure optimal operation
  • Maintain accurate manual and electronic records for production tracking and quality assurance
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards while promoting teamwork and continuous improvement
