About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of painting and related tasks in the maintenance department. The Painter will ensure that all painting work is completed according to established standards and safety regulations. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in painting and surface preparation.
Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and safety procedures.
Ability to operate and maintain painting equipment, including sprayers.
Ability to read and understand technical instructions and safety data sheets.
Physical ability to perform tasks such as climbing ladders, lifting heavy objects, and standing for extended periods.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Vocational training or certification in painting or a related trade.
Experience with specialized coatings or finishes.
Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to painting.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and priming.
Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
Mix paints and other coatings to achieve desired colors and consistency.
Perform repairs to surfaces as needed before painting.
Maintain painting equipment and tools in good working condition.
Ensure proper ventilation and safety precautions are followed during painting operations.
Clean up work areas after completion of painting tasks.
Assist with other maintenance tasks as needed.
