About The Position

The Painter Blaster prepares wood and metal surfaces for painting and paints equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other work areas using a spray gun, brush, or roller. The role involves following work orders and verbal instructions, preparing and coating surfaces, and performing work at heights. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of journeyman-level experience.
• Must be able to work at heights without fear.
• Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship or takeover of sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and receive instructions verbally.
• Prepare surfaces by removing dirt, oil, grease, and old paint; smoothing cracks; and filling holes.
• Fill cavities and dents with putty to create a smooth surface, as needed.
• Select and mix coating liquids to produce the required color according to specifications, using a paddle or mechanical mixer.
• Erect scaffolding or set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level, as needed.
• Apply paint using a spray gun, brush, and/or roller.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
