About The Position

This position is part-time with a primary focus on painting and finishing work, with the secondary ability to perform basic facility maintenance tasks as needed. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently without hands-on supervision. This role requires the ability to organize multiple requests, exhibit strong time management, and assess and prioritize tasks.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent-REQUIRED
• (1) one year painting experience-REQUIRED
• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull objects up to 30 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
• Ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including outdoors in heat and cold.
• Ability to work at heights using ladders and scaffolding
• Willingness to consent to and pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Provide appropriate documents to complete the I-9 requirement.
• Demonstrated painting skills including surface preparation and finish work
• Dependable, cooperative. And able to work independently.
• Ability to differentiate between what can be done in-house, and what will need to be done by a contractor.
• General concern for the poor and sick and sensitivity to their need for dignity and respect.
• Willingness to consent to and the ability to pass a criminal background check, and drug screening.
• Provide appropriate documents to complete the I-9 requirement.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior painting, including surface preparation, priming, and finish coats
• Perform drywall patching and preparation prior to painting.
• Conduct pressure washing of buildings, walkways, and exterior surfaces
• Ensure clean, professional results consistent with quality and safety standards.
• Perform general cleaning and upkeep of buildings and properties, including ground maintenance.
• Perform grass cutting and weeding or multiple yards and properties.
• Safely operate and maintain various hand tools and power tools.
• Perform other duties needed to help drive our vision, and fulfill our mission, that “The poor should never be treated poorly.”
