Requirements

Responsibilities
- Communicating with supervisor to determine painting requirements and making decisions for projects.
- Completing the make-ready process of vacant apartments.
- Covering surfaces with protective coverings to keep them free of paint.
- Preparing surfaces to be painted by washing, filling holes and cracks, and sanding.
- Applying primer and other sealers to ensure paint adhesion.
- Mixing and matching paint, stain, and other finishes.
- Applying paint, stain, and other finishes using various tools.
- Maintaining an inventory of painting supplies.
- Removing old finishes using scrapers or chemical compounds.
- Estimating time and material costs for painting projects.
- Cleaning machines, equipment, and work areas.
- Reviewing and implementing work orders and assignments.
- Removing and reinstalling fixtures as necessary.
- Alerting the Maintenance Director of any unusual occurrences or damage.
- Maintaining a professional and courteous manner with residents, vendors, contractors, and employees.
- Assuring safety standards comply with all guidelines.
- Ensuring compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
- Following established company policies and Employee Handbook guidelines.
- Undertaking special projects and other responsibilities as determined.
