About The Position

The Painter I (Paint Hanger) safely performs supervised powder-coating work according to established procedures, processes, and policies. The role loads, transfers, and unloads raw parts on the paint line, hangs or racks parts for paint application, and handles parts efficiently so they are ready for use. The position works in a consistently high-heat environment and includes inspecting finished parts, maintaining counts, reporting scrap, handling stock, and keeping the work area clean.

The role is scheduled Tuesday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM and pays $25.35 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to understand and execute basic standard procedures.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well with others.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Positive, assertive, dependable, and energetic attitude.
• Strong focus on quality of work.
• Ability to perform the listed physical duties, including occasional lifting of 25–50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with powder paint systems.

Responsibilities

• Load, transfer, and unload parts on and from the paint line.
• Hang or rack each part for paint application.
• Inspect part quality before and after the finishing process.
• Follow safety policies, wear required personal protective equipment, use safe work habits, and perform housekeeping duties.
• Exchange and break down racks and prepare them for burn-off.
• Maintain proper counts and report all scrap.
• Perform stock-handling duties as required.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
