About The Position

The Painter I (2nd Shift) safely completes supervised powder-coat painting work according to established procedures, processes, and policies. The role loads and unloads raw parts from the paint line and moves them through the process efficiently and safely, with the goal of producing ready-to-use parts or assemblies. Work is performed in a consistently high-heat environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to understand and execute basic standard procedures.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Positive, assertive, dependable, and energetic demeanor.
• Strong focus on quality of work.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with powder paint systems.

Responsibilities

• Load, transfer, and unload parts on or from the paint line.
• Hang or rack each part for paint application.
• Inspect parts for quality before and after the finishing process.
• Perform work safely and in accordance with policy, including wearing required personal protective equipment, following safe work habits, and completing housekeeping duties.
• Exchange and break down racks and prepare them for burn-off.
• Maintain proper counts.
• Report all scrap.
• Perform stock-handling duties as required.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
