About The Position
The Painter I role is responsible for safely completing supervised powder coat paint tasks according to established procedures, processes, or policies. This involves safely and efficiently loading and unloading raw parts from the paint line, ensuring parts are ready for use or assembly. The position operates in a high heat environment and requires attention to quality inspection before and after the finishing process.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience
- Detail oriented and organized
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Ability to understand and execute basic standard procedures
- Ability to perform basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Ability to communicate and work well with others
- A positive attitude, assertive, dependable, and energetic
- A strong focus on quality of work
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with powder paint systems
Responsibilities
- Loading, transferring, and unloading of parts on and/or from paint line
- Process each part by hanging/racking to paint application
- Inspect quality of parts before and after finishing process
- Perform work duties in a safe manner and in accordance with policy (including wearing required proper personal protective equipment, work habits and performing appropriate housekeeping duties)
- Constantly work in a constantly high heat environment
- Inspect quality of parts before and after finishing process
- Exchange and break down racks and prepare for burn-off
- Maintain proper counts
- Report all scrap
- Perform stock handling duties as required
- Maintain a clean work environment
