About The Position

The Painter I position is responsible for safely completing powder coat paint tasks according to established procedures, processes, or policies. This role involves safely and efficiently loading and unloading raw parts from the paint line, processing each part by hanging/racking for paint application, and inspecting the quality of parts before and after the finishing process. The Painter I must perform work duties safely, adhere to policies including wearing required personal protective equipment, maintain good work habits, and perform housekeeping duties. This role operates in a constantly high heat environment. Additional duties include exchanging and breaking down racks, preparing for burn-off, maintaining proper counts, reporting scrap, performing stock handling, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years of experience
• Detail oriented and organized
• Ability to effectively communicate
• Ability to understand and execute basic standard procedures
• Ability to perform basic reading and writing skills
• Ability to effectively work in a team environment
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Ability to communicate and work well with others

• Previous experience with powder paint systems

Responsibilities

• Loading, transferring, and unloading of parts on and/or from paint line
• Process each part by hanging/racking to paint application
• Inspect quality of parts before and after finishing process
• Perform work duties in a safe manner and in accordance with policy (including wearing required proper personal protective equipment, work habits and performing appropriate housekeeping duties)
• Constantly work in a constantly high heat environment
• Exchange and break down racks and prepare for burn-off
• Maintain proper counts
• Report all scrap
• Perform stock handling duties as required
• Maintain a clean work environment
