This position is responsible for applying finishes to a variety of parts and assemblies. The Painter Finish I will work from oral and written instructions to prepare painted surfaces, spray primers, polyester, urethane, and various paint finishes to basic parts or assemblies. This role requires minimal judgment and may involve working under the guidance of other painters. The position also involves preparing traceability sheets for FAA tracking, mixing paint according to specifications, and applying paint to basic surfaces while maintaining finish requirements. Additionally, the role includes adjusting and cleaning spray guns and paint equipment, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to safety practices. The Painter Finish I is responsible only for their own work and may perform related duties such as sealing aircraft components.
