About The Position

Emerald Transformer is seeking a full-time, onsite Paint Technician in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. The position pays $20.00 per hour and follows a Monday-through-Thursday schedule from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The technician paints transformer units, prepares paint and materials to specification, and stages completed units for shipment. The role involves maintaining shop equipment and a safe, clean, orderly workstation, collaborating with other associates, and upholding quality standards, including a reject rate below 2.5%. The painter is responsible for rejecting any unit that has not been properly prepared before top-coat finishing. Requirements

Honest, trustworthy, and reliable.
Hardworking.
Able to perform heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or more than 50 pounds frequently.
Comfortable working in extreme heat and cold.

Responsibilities

Paint units using a pneumatic and/or air-assisted paint spray gun.
Prepare paint and materials to the proper specifications.
Stage units for final shipment.
Maintain shop equipment and tools at the workstation, especially spray equipment.
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
Work closely with other associates in a team-oriented environment.
Maintain a quality level that ensures a reject rate below 2.5%.
Reject units before top-coat finishing if they have not been properly prepared.
