About The Position

As part of the Open Road Collision group DBA Allard Collision, the Paint Technician works on vehicles in a fast-paced auto body shop environment. The role performs vehicle refinishing as assigned in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards, while supporting high-quality collision repair services and exceptional customer care.

• Must be able to operate a vehicle legally.

• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment.

Nice To Haves

• I-CAR Certification is preferred; the employer will help obtain it if needed.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer; OEM certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work and communicate with others about vehicle repairs and status.
• Perform quality refinishing while maintaining on-time status.
• Complete work as outlined on repair orders.
• Operate paint department equipment safely and productively.
• Follow safety standards for personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, and a respirator, while working in the paint department.
• Inspect completed work as a quality-control measure.
• Mix chemicals according to manufacturer directions and specifications.
