About The Position

The Paint Sprayer is responsible for applying metal paints and coatings to metal and plastic products. A Paint Sprayer also prepares materials for use, maintains painting equipment, applies materials and ensures the quality of end products.

Requirements

• Ability to safely operate spray guns, cleaning equipment and paint booths.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prior experience in manufacturing preferred
• Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
• Prior work experience painting.
• The employee must unaided lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Apply paints to metal and plastic products in compliance with established procedures and in compliance with safety policy.
• Ensure metal products are prepared to receive paints, i.e. no rust, sanded, smoothed, etc.
• Accurately interpret work orders and other documents to determine appropriate paints for applications.
• Inspect work when completed to ensure thoroughness and quality work.
• Prepare materials for use by mixing thinners and paints.
• Properly clean and maintain all painting equipment.
• Maintain records of paint and material usage.
