About The Position

Hamilton is offering a direct-hire, full-time opportunity for an Industrial Paint Specialist. The Paint Specialist prepares metal parts and components for the application of paint, fillers, and finishes to enhance and protect products for customers. The role uses wet paint to achieve the required product coverage, color, and texture, and moves products through the paint process and onward to the next production step.

Requirements

Experience as an industrial painter in a manufacturing environment, or construction experience performing drywalling functions.
Experience with respirator requirements and use of hand and power tools.
Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary.
Consistent work history.
Good attendance and punctuality.
Ability to pass a drug screen and a seven-year background check.
High school diploma or GED.
Safety glasses and steel-toe shoes are required.

Nice To Haves

Ability to read blueprints is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare metal parts and components by applying fillers or bondo to create a flat surface for painting.
Apply wet paint to achieve proper product coverage and meet customer requirements for color and texture.
Interpret blueprints, Process Flow Instructions, and other written or verbal instructions to move products through the paint process and to the next production step.
Accurately report shop-floor production data to a Process or Team Lead for computer entry and/or written reporting.
Follow visual and written work instructions to complete assigned tasks within the allotted time and meet production requirements.
Maintain quality and productivity standards.
Maintain equipment, including daily cleaning, uphold good housekeeping, and follow plant regulations and safety rules.
Support other projects and perform duties as assigned.
