Paint Sales Associate
About The Position
Ring's End, Inc. is hiring a full-time Paint Sales Associate to support retail operations by managing merchandise from the point of order through customer receipt. The role provides direct and indirect customer service and maintains appropriate inventory levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom. The Paint Sales Associate checks shipments and store orders for accuracy, completeness, and condition; checks incoming and outgoing shipments; maintains accurate records and files; prepares the store for opening and closing; keeps products in good condition; guides other workers; and assists where needed. The position also includes delivering merchandise to customers' homes and job sites. Ring's End is a Connecticut-based, third-generation, family-run lumber and building materials retailer founded in 1902. The company serves areas in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York and emphasizes service, innovation, cooperation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Be flexible and adaptable to changes that may affect the position.
- Be able to count quickly and perform simple addition.
- Be able to lift 100 pounds and remain on your feet all day.
- Be able to use current technology and show an aptitude for learning new programs.
- Have a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Understand products and product codes.
- Understand and comply with safety regulations.
- Be self-motivated, work well with others, and demonstrate a commitment to quality work and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Support smooth retail operations by moving merchandise from point of order to customer receipt.
