About The Position

The Supervisor – Paint Room will supervise paint functions by planning, assigning, and monitoring the work of assigned staff; filling in for absentees as needed. This position is responsible for overseeing employees engaged in painting, using hand tools and equipment. This supervisor will ensure that all employees follow the prescribed safety guidelines.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Three years of progressively responsible painting experience, including 6 months of supervisory experience
Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the painting trade
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Solid organizational and leadership skills
Attention to detail
Skill in the preparation and application of paints to different types of surfaces.

Responsibilities

Provides direction and leads by example.
Schedules, assigns, and plans the work of paint personnel performing a variety of tasks.
Trains or informs employees of work methods or procedures, changes in safety regulations, and work policies.
Overseeing and coaching employees; including disciplinary action.
Responsible for various daily production reports.
Oversees, monitors, and maintains all aspects of direct reports timesheets and approval of PTO / UPTO requests.
Enforce safety guidelines and company standards.
Provides employees with tools and opportunities to achieve production goals.
Maintains a clean and safe environment for all employees.
Participates in the interview process for potential employees.
Conduct semi-annual and annual reviews for direct reports.
Other duties as assigned.
