Requirements

Ability to operate machines and equipment.
Ability to read and comprehend customer specification sheets.
Proficiency in using Company systems for reporting production, scrap, and inventory.
Ability to mix paint and apply according to specifications.
Ability to verify paint viscosity and manage paint systems.
Ability to set-up, adjust, and clean paint booth equipment.
Ability to maintain paint heaters, guns, and related equipment.
Ability to maintain a clean and tidy paint booth and work area.
Ability to remove and replace filters.
Ability to follow maintenance procedures and clean/replace filters.
Ability to organize trial runs for new paint.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Ability to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working area.
Ability to perform minor maintenance overhauls and parts changes.
Ability to track downtime and equipment issues.
Ability to organize and dispose of empties properly.
Ability to assist with inventory of paint and solvents.
Ability to fill-in or replace the Paint Stager.
Ability to attend required meetings and trainings.

Responsibilities

Independently operate machines, equipment, and produce production parts to required tolerances.
Read and comprehend customer specification sheets; anticipate the next order and stage supplies/products as needed.
Utilize Company systems for reporting production, scrap, inventory, etc.
Follow direction and product required quantities.
Mix paint and apply to specs; schedule requirements for steel drums.
Paint drum exterior to give a quality appearance.
Verify paint to correct viscosity and pump into system as required; flush lines between colors.
Ensure all pumps and agitators are in good working order.
Set-up and adjust or clean paint tips in paint booth.
Maintain paint heaters/guns and related equipment in good operating order.
Keep paint booth and chains clean and tidy.
Remove and dispose back wall filters daily and install new filters.
Follow Maintenance PM’s and clean/replace all inline paint filters.
Organize trial runs of new paint for customer sample runs.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues with other operators, maintenance, and management.
Maintain working area in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
Carry out minor maintenance overhauls and parts changes, including designated preventative maintenance.
Track issues with downtime and/or equipment.
Organize empties generated from Paint Room and dispose of properly.
Assist 55G Paint Stager with weekly inventory of paint and solvents, rotate inventory.
Fill-in or replace the Paint Stager as needed.
Attend all required meetings and trainings.
Perform all other duties as required or requested.
