About The Position
Car Center Holland is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Paint Prep Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, ensuring all areas are clean, smooth, and ready for a flawless finish.
Requirements
- Previous experience in paint preparation or a related field
- Basic understanding of safety regulations - ability to work safely around chemicals, solvents, dust, etc. and wear PPE as required
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and materials
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in Auto Body Shop
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Clean, sand, buff, and mask surfaces prior to painting
- Inspect surfaces for defects
- Application of primers and sealers
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Collaborate & communicate with refinish technician and other team members to ensure timely project completion
- Assist in detailing tasks as needed
- Keep accurate records of materials used and work performed
