V2X is hiring! We are looking for a Paint Prep Technician (2nd shift) to support the Modernization and Sustainment site in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Requirements
- Knowledge of proper surface preparation methods and coating techniques.
- Ability to follow verbal and written specifications, routings, and other instructions.
- Attention to detail and precision in coating application.
- Skill in masking and protecting areas not intended for coating.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Applies coating materials to various surfaces using brushing, rolling, and spraying methods.
- Prepares surfaces for coating application, including cleaning, masking, and other necessary steps.
- Takes measures to ensure proper coating application and adherence to surface protection requirements.
- Pays close attention to detail to ensure precise coating application and avoid defects.
- Performs masking in appropriate locations to protect areas not intended for coating.
- Follows instructions provided through routings, blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
