About The Position

The Paint Prep Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and preparing parts for the paint or powder-coating process on the paint line. The role includes preparing parts for painting, handling materials, maintaining an organized work area, and completing preventative maintenance as required. This is a full-time position. The listed second-shift hours are Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to midnight, for 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading, writing, and basic mathematics skills.
• Safety-conscious approach.
• Initiative.
• Teamwork orientation.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of manufacturing experience.
• Crane experience.
• Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare parts for painting, including plugging and masking parts.
• Grind parts to remove sharp edges.
• Use an overhead crane to move parts to the wash area.
• Remove slag from workpieces in the raw-stock stage before painting.
• Operate a forklift, or be willing and able to train to operate one safely.
• Identify, store, stack, organize, and stage product.
• Sweep and clean the work area and remove trash and scrap.
• Perform preventative maintenance as required.
