Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Experience with maintenance management systems (e.g., Maximo) or similar.
  • Knowledge of automation, equipment, and facilities systems.
  • Good math, computer, and technical documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication, team-building, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to foster a safety-first culture and motivate teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of engineering experience, with specific experience in facilities and equipment procurement or maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the paint maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Schedule and coordinate work across maintenance groups to ensure balanced workload and project completion.
  • Perform performance reviews, set goals, and facilitate ongoing training for maintenance staff.
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all paint equipment, including robots, spray booths, conveyors, and related systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Monitor equipment performance data to identify trends and implement improvements.
  • Support facilities projects, including building additions, equipment upgrades, and renovations, ensuring projects meet safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Determine project requirements for equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and new installations.
  • Prepare specifications, evaluate vendor proposals, and recommend contractors or suppliers.
  • Lead or assist in vendor/contractor selection, oversee installation, and ensure project completion within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Lead or support installation, upgrade, and capital projects related to paint equipment and plant facilities.
  • Manage work order processes using computerized maintenance management systems (e.g., Maximo).
  • Develop long-term maintenance plans, including scheduling of PMs and major repairs.
  • Lead root cause analysis and participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and facilities.
  • Monitor and control maintenance and project material and labor costs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies.
  • Research and implement new technologies and best practices to improve equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead or participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving teams.
