About The Position

This position reports to the Paint Line Supervisor and is accountable for fulfilling all assigned duties. The Paint Line Painter Tier 1 is responsible for loading and unloading the paint line and powder painting during break times. They will also assist the Paint Line Technician with titrations and chemical adjustments in the washer and wastewater system, and perform preventive maintenance on the paint line systems.

Requirements

• Ability to operate an overhead air hoist and drive a forklift.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as a team.
• Basic Math skills.
• Ability to gain knowledge of company products.
• Comply with quality, environmental, safety, and JOST company policies and procedures.
• Regularly stand, walk, reach, bend, twist.
• Occasionally stoop, kneel, lift, pull, or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Organizational skills.
• Chemical experience.
• Industrial powder or E-Coat Experience.
• General preventive maintenance experience and the ability to troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading various parts onto the conveyor.
• Performing preventive maintenance.
• Conducting titrations and chemical adjustments of the washer and wastewater system.
• Powder painting, including hand spraying in faraday areas.
• Starting up and shutting down the paint system.
• Inspecting final painted parts.
• Performing any additional duties that may be assigned or are logically inherent to this position.
