About The Position

This is a night shift position for a Paint Line Operator. The shift time is from 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with potential for mandatory overtime on Fridays depending on production needs. The role involves applying paint products according to customer and Quality Management System (QMS) specifications, following standard work, training guides, and procedures. The operator will use and maintain paint spray equipment, sanding equipment, and various hand tools. Responsibilities also include understanding build boards and the Kanban system, reporting inconsistencies or defects, and maintaining a positive work atmosphere. The role contributes to the company's strategic, quality, and safety objectives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of prior work experience in related field
• Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.)
• Written and verbal communication, math, reading, and spelling skills
• Ability to learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with HVLP and/or electrostatic guns, pressure pots, and proportioners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Application of paint products in accordance with customer and QMS specifications/requirements.
• Follow and understand standard work, training guides, procedures, and acceptance criteria to meet customer requirements.
• Able to use paint spray equipment, sanding equipment, and various hand tools.
• Maintain and clean spray guns and related equipment.
• Follow and understand build boards and Kanban system requirements.
• Report inconsistencies and/or defects in material, product, or equipment.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
• Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.
• Other duties may be assigned.
