About The Position
We are seeking two Physician Assistants specializing in Pain Medicine for a locum tenens position in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. This role involves providing comprehensive, patient-centered care in collaboration with registered nurses and a supervising physician. The coverage period is ongoing, starting November 16, 2026. The schedule is days, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with 4 shifts per week. The average daily patient volume is 18-20, including pain management follow-ups, new patient evaluations, and medication management. The facility utilizes the Epic EMR system, and a supervising physician is available onsite three days a week for collaboration and support. Experienced support staff, including registered nurses, are also available.
Requirements
- Active South Carolina license and DHEC registration
- EPIC experience required
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in collaboration with registered nurses and supervising physician.
- Manage an average daily schedule of 18–20 patients, including follow-up visits and new patient evaluations.
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans.
- Provide medication management in accordance with clinical protocols and regulations.
- Document patient assessments, treatment decisions, and care plans accurately and promptly.
