About The Position

The Department of Pain Management at Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Medication Pain Management Physician to join their distinguished team. The physician will provide direct clinical care to patients, primarily evaluating and treating outpatients within a Comprehensive Neuroscience center of excellence. This role complements a team of specialists by offering longitudinal care and management of the neuropharmacologic and psychodynamic aspects of various pain syndromes. Some inpatient care may be required. Importantly, the physician will not be responsible for performing invasive pain management procedures. There will also be an opportunity to participate in the design and implementation of the Comprehensive Neuroscience Center.

Requirements

Completed fellowship training in a pain management related specialty such as anesthesia, neurology, psychiatry, physiatry or addiction medicine.
Trained and comfortable with diagnosing and rendering care of neuropharmacologic and psychodynamic aspects of acute, subacute, and chronic pain syndromes.
Board-eligible or Board-certified (BE/BC) with excellent clinical training in anesthesia, neurology, psychiatry or addiction medicine.
Adaptable colleague interested in joining the NeuroScience team, building the group practice and becoming active in the community.
Recent graduates as well as experienced clinicians with an interest in clinical research and teaching are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Evaluating and treating outpatients in the setting of a Comprehensive Neuroscience center of excellence.
Providing longitudinal care and management of neuropharmacologic and psychodynamic aspects of acute, subacute, and chronic pain syndromes.
Rendering some care in an inpatient setting should clinical circumstances warrant.
Participating in the design and implementation of the Comprehensive Neuroscience Center.
