The Paid Social Media Specialist is responsible for the social media buying efforts to drive promotion of off-channel direct response and awareness campaigns for CNN digital products. This includes development, recommendation, implementation, stewardship and performance reporting that strategically aligns with marketing objectives. The Paid Social Media Specialist will be required to contribute to the development of campaign strategy including defining/defending social media objectives and performance-driven tactics across social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Reddit and Snapchat. While working under the guidance of the Media Strategist, Sr. Media Manager and Sr. Media Director, it is the Paid Social Media Specialist’s responsibility to maintain social campaign budgets, audience recommendations and frequent performance reports while demonstrating knowledge of various social media concepts and applications that support team recommendations. Adeptness in media math and sound knowledge of the social media ad industry is crucial for this position. Prospect must be organized and possess a critical eye for detail as the gatekeeper for archiving and communicating social media performance details and recommendations to various departments within WBD including marketing, creative and finance teams. Must possess effective time management skills and the ability to adapt to change within a fast-paced work environment.
