PACU RN (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)
About The Position
Per Diem Staffing Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced PACU RN for registry shifts at Kaiser San Diego, at the Garfield Medical Office Building. This is an as-needed, first-shift position with 8-hour daytime shifts from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pay is $76–$78 per hour, depending on experience (D.O.E.), with overtime after 8 hours. There is one opening. Applicants must have recent full-time-equivalent nursing experience, graduate from an accredited nursing program, hold a California RN license, and have the required certifications. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree and experience in critical care, pediatric clinical care, procedural sedation, and pain-management injection procedures.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent full-time-equivalent experience within the last 3 years.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- California RN license.
- AHA BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- PALS certification.
- NIHSS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
- Procedural Sedation Competency.
- At least 2 years of critical care experience with adult patients, preferably in a PACU environment.
- At least 2 years of clinical care experience with pediatric patients, preferably in an ER, ICU, or PACU environment.
- At least 2 years of experience providing procedural sedation in an outpatient setting.
- At least 2 years of experience in pain-management injection procedures.
