About The Position
Columbia Endoscopy Surgery Center is hiring a PRN PACU Registered Nurse! Welcome to Columbia Endoscopy Surgery Center! As a PACU RN you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth surgical operations.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
- Active RN license in the state of Ohio
- BLS and ACLS required (PALS if required by the center)
- Ability to make sound decisions based on nursing judgment
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive patient care to individuals emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
- Performing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for both patients and families in preparation for discharge.
- Assisting physicians as needed with tasks in the procedure rooms, including conscious sedation and utilizing sterile techniques as appropriate.
