The PACT Representative I role is responsible for seamlessly linking the patient experience between PACT and the practice site by utilizing facility/provider information and established policies and procedures. This position involves assisting inbound callers with their needs, making outbound calls when necessary, and escalating complex problems for resolution. The role also includes performing basic technical troubleshooting for online applications, systems, or access issues. Key responsibilities involve scheduling patient appointments, coordinating cancellations and reschedules, obtaining and verifying demographic and insurance information, and ensuring accuracy by updating information as needed. The PACT Representative I must identify emergent calls and follow procedures for immediate transfer to a Registered Nurse for triaging, demonstrating competency in emergency situations and critical call handling. The role determines patient needs, routing them for triage, scheduling, or other appropriate actions, and handles medication refill requests and provider paging. Providing excellent customer service according to departmental standards, asking clarifying questions, presenting options, and escalating only necessary situations are crucial. The position also supports organizational marketing efforts by providing information and referrals, maintaining databases, and performing additional duties as needed. Maintaining knowledge and efficient utilization of all information systems is also a key aspect of this role.
