The PACT Representative I is responsible for seamlessly linking the patient experience between PACT and the practice site by utilizing facility/provider information and established policies and procedures. This role involves assisting inbound callers with resources and critical thinking, making outbound calls when necessary, and escalating complex problems for resolution. The representative will also perform basic technical troubleshooting for online applications, systems, or access issues. Key responsibilities include scheduling patient appointments, coordinating cancellations and reschedules, obtaining and verifying demographic and insurance information, and ensuring accuracy of patient data according to payer requirements. The role also involves identifying emergent calls, following procedures for escalation to a Registered Nurse for triaging, and adhering to guidelines for emergency situations and critical call handling. The PACT Representative I determines patient needs, routing them for triage, scheduling, medication refill requests, and paging providers. They are expected to provide excellent customer service, ask clarifying questions, present options, and escalate only necessary situations. Additionally, the role supports organizational marketing efforts, maintains databases, and ensures efficient utilization of information systems.
