The PACT PRN Representative I is responsible for linking the patient experience between PACT and the practice site by utilizing facility/provider information and established policies and procedures. This role involves assisting inbound callers using resources and critical thinking skills, making outbound calls when necessary, and escalating complex problems for resolution. The representative will perform basic technical troubleshooting for online applications, systems, or access issues, and is responsible for scheduling patient appointments, coordinating cancellations, reschedules, and additions. Additionally, they will obtain and verify demographic and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and updating records as needed, while applying knowledge of government and third-party payer requirements. The role also includes identifying emergent calls, following procedures for immediate transfer to a Registered Nurse for triaging, and adhering to guidelines for emergency situations and critical call handling. The representative determines patient needs to route them for triage, scheduling, rescheduling, canceling appointments, submitting medication refill requests, and paging providers and facilities. They are expected to provide excellent customer service as measured by post-call surveys, ask clarifying questions, present options, and escalate only necessary situations. The role also involves assisting with organizational marketing efforts, providing associated information, and maintaining records. Regular reporting and updating of provider and marketing databases are required, along with performing additional duties based on department needs and maintaining knowledge of all information systems.
