Requirements

  • Valid New Jersey Registered Nurse's License or an Advanced Degree for Nursing Specialists
  • Two years of experience working with individuals facing chronic mental illness
  • Familiarity with community resources and agencies is crucial for providing holistic support.
  • Willingness to accept on-call rotation and work as part of a team
  • Possession of a valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean five-year driving record that meets organizational standards and qualifies for insurance coverage.
  • Background Check is required
  • Clear Five year driving record/abstract with ability to be insured by organizations carrier.

  • Supervisory experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments—both at program entry and annually—to evaluate mental health symptoms and behaviors related to prescribed medications.
  • Meticulously monitor individuals for any side effects while enhancing their understanding of medication benefits and promoting compliance.
  • Oversee the monthly inventory of medications and medical supplies.
  • Prepare the medical agenda for the upcoming month.
  • Manage medication orders and administration.
  • Provide supportive counseling and psychoeducation.
  • Empower individuals to master their symptoms and disabilities, making a profound difference in their lives while fostering resilience and independence in the community.
