About The Position

A PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) Support Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and support of medical imaging systems used in hospitals, radiology departments, and diagnostic centers. This role ensures that clinicians and radiologists can reliably capture, store, view, and transmit medical images (e.g., X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound).

Requirements

  • High School plus 4 years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Administers, maintains, and supports the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and related medical imaging applications to ensure system reliability, performance, and availability.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software, network, image transmission, and system integration issues affecting imaging workflows and end users.
  • Manages user accounts, access permissions, system configurations, image archiving, data integrity, backups, and system upgrades while ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy and security requirements.
  • Provides technical support, user training, onboarding assistance, and workflow guidance to radiologists, technologists, clinicians, and other staff; documents issues, resolutions, and system changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
