About The Position

The Packaging Lead is responsible for overseeing the packaging operations in the plant to ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely packing of solar products. This position plays a critical role in maintaining quality standards, optimizing packaging processes, and leading a team to meet production goals while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
0-2 years of experience in packaging, manufacturing, or production, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of packaging processes, equipment, and materials.
Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using packaging machinery and tools.
Knowledge of safety and quality standards in manufacturing (e.g., OSHA, ISO, or similar).
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
International & multi-culture communication & coordination ability
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Nice To Haves

Experience in solar manufacturing or a similar industry is a plus.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and inventory management software.
Understanding of solar panel manufacturing processes and terminology.
Knowledge of sustainable packaging practices.
Lean Management

Responsibilities

Oversee daily packaging operations, ensuring all products are packed according to specifications, quality standards, and deadlines.
Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely shipment of products.
Train, supervise, and provide guidance to packaging team members, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
Conduct regular inspections of packaging materials, equipment, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Monitor inventory levels of packaging materials and coordinate with procurement to prevent shortages or delays.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, coordinate maintenance, and ensure proper upkeep of packaging machinery.
Implement and optimize packaging processes to improve efficiency, minimize waste, and reduce costs.
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on packaging progress, productivity, and any operational challenges.
Act as a point of contact for resolving any packaging-related issues or discrepancies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
