As a member of the department leadership team, this individual is responsible for leading and coordinating coverage for the chemical laboratories. You will have the opportunity to: Instructs, guides, and schedules work of combined laboratory technicians. Performs chemical and physical analyses. Supports and coordinates work of the multiple laboratories listed above. Understands quality control and measurement techniques. Ensures that Standard Operating Procedures, Job Safety Analyses, and special instructions are being followed. Makes recommendations for Standard Operating Procedures improvements and revisions. Supports all audit functions to maintain accreditations. Supports all sections of Chemical Lab as needed.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in a laboratory setting or a 2-year technical degree with a science concentration preferred
  • Three years of experience as a Senior Analyst/A Analyst in the Chem Lab is preferred
  • Basic computer skills including Windows, Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, and working knowledge of SAP
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Self-motivated and able to initiate action without direction required
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize required
  • Ability to apply conflict resolution skills required
  • Ability to conduct chemical analyses
  • Export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
