Packing Operator
About The Position
The Packing Operator is responsible for inspecting and loading parts, masking parts when necessary, and maintaining "Traveler" information which includes flowing procedures. The role also involves operating a forklift properly, reporting non-conforming parts to the Supervisor, and possessing awareness of the packaging procedure of parts. The operator will attend training, company meetings, and update forklift certification when needed, while maintaining a clean work area and performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Plant Manager. Ongoing training is provided, including on-the-job, forklift, written, and verbal training.
Requirements
- Basic math, reading and writing skills
- Committed to observe and follow all quality and safety procedures
- Good time management and decision-making skills
- Ability to follow procedures correctly
- Ability to inspect quality of work
- Working well in teams from diverse backgrounds as both a leader and an individual contributor
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
