About The Position

The Packing Operator I executes production schedules in the packing area at rated throughput to meet quality, safety, cost, and delivery standards. The role involves packaging products accurately and on time, following allergen-control and food-safety procedures, responding to audit findings and deficiencies, and helping investigate and resolve packing-area issues. The operator also maintains safe working conditions, completes required training, and performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers and leadership.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, convey equipment issues, and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to think quickly and handle frequent change.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, quality-driven, and able to work independently with little supervision.
• Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on business need.

Responsibilities

• Execute the daily production schedule in the packing area to meet customer orders.
• Ensure timely and accurate packaging of products in accordance with processing standards.
• Follow allergen-control guidelines, including equipment cleaning and verification activities.
• Take corrective actions assigned by the Supervisor based on pre-operation and daily self-assessment audit findings.
• Participate in investigating issues, identifying root causes, and developing solutions in the packing area.
• Take necessary actions to resolve food-safety and quality deficiencies.
• Maintain safe working conditions and follow the policies and procedures of the safety program.
• Participate in mandatory training programs.
• Comply with all food-safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
