About The Position
The Packing Operator works at Nestlé’s manufacturing facility in Miami, Oklahoma, which produces pet treat products. The role focuses on keeping equipment and machinery in good condition and responding quickly to equipment issues during normal operations. The operator prepares products for shipment or storage, performs quality checks, maintains a safe and clean workplace, and conducts sanitation and material-handling duties. The current shift is 11:00 PM–7:30 AM, Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment.
- Basic proficiency in English to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Plan, assemble, fabricate, or repair crates, boxes, cartons, and other packaging containers of large or unusual size or shape.
- Prepare finished products for shipment or storage by placing them in proper shipping containers.
- Perform quality checks and meet product specifications.
- Maintain a safe and clean workplace.
- Perform sanitation duties and material handling.
- Safely and efficiently operate equipment, troubleshoot problems, and make minor repairs using prescribed lockout procedures.
- Use computer technology and basic math skills to perform job requirements.
