About The Position

Powder Coating Systems is seeking a Packing Lead for their Swing Shift. This is an hourly position with a starting pay of $22-25 per hour, based on experience. The swing shift operates from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The Packing Lead will guide a small team in inspecting and packing completed parts, actively participating in the process. This role involves covering the entire shift in the Supervisor's absence and is physically demanding, requiring constant standing, bending, moving, and lifting up to fifty pounds. Knowledge of operating a sit-down forklift is necessary, though formal certification is not required. Employees must wear steel/composite footwear on the floor. Previous Packing Leads have advanced to Supervisor roles and other positions within the company.

Requirements

• 2-5 years lead experience (preferably in a construction, warehouse or shop environment)
• At least 1 year of experience operating a sit-down forklift.
• The ability to lift fifty pounds.
• Reliable transportation to commute to our shop in Tacoma on a daily basis.
• A current Driver's License (This is required to operate our forklifts.)
• The originals of I-9 documentation.

Nice To Haves

• Previous QC experience.
• Previous palletizing experience.
• Bilingual.
• A working knowledge of hand tools, air tools, and suchlike.

Responsibilities
