About The Position

Smyth-Green Bay is seeking a Packing Associate who takes pride in their work, enjoys learning, and contributes to creating opportunities for customers. The role is part of a collaborative finishing team that produces high-quality labels and packaging and helps deliver a strong customer experience. The Packing Associate inspects finished products for printing defects and boxes and packs completed finishing orders for shipping. The role also involves following company work rules and safety regulations, maintaining an organized work area, and working with other teams to support workflow and continuous improvement in finishing operations. The available shift is Sunday through Thursday, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.; training takes place on first shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand and bend throughout the shift.
Visual acuity and hand dexterity.
Solid reading, math, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, orally and in writing, with people inside and outside the organization.
Effective time-management skills to meet deadlines across multiple long- and short-term projects.
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship-building skills to work effectively with a diverse range of people and personalities.
Ability to provide high levels of customer service and respond promptly and thoroughly to internal customer inquiries.

Nice To Haves

One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and ISO quality systems.

Responsibilities
