About The Position

The Packer prepares customer orders for shipment at an assigned stationary pack station. The role primarily involves independently pulling totes from a conveyor, following packing requirements, handling products carefully, and working efficiently to meet productivity and quality standards. Packers use and restock shipping materials and may safely handle dry ice as needed.

This is a seasonal position supporting the high-volume holiday production period in a fast-paced warehouse and production environment. Openings are listed for first and second shifts. Associates may be asked to work overtime, extended hours, additional workdays, or in other departments based on peak-season business needs. Pay is listed as $17.00 per hour total for first shift and $19.00 per hour total for second shift, including seasonal incentives and, for second shift, a shift differential.

Requirements

• Some high school education or equivalent preferred.
• Basic reading and counting skills.
• Ability to learn and use RF scanners daily.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow packing instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable and able to maintain reliable attendance.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling packages weighing up to 30 lbs continuously and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to walk and stand throughout an 8–10-hour shift.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crawl, and climb as required.
• Ability to use ladders and repeatedly climb stairs during the workday.
• Ability to use hand pallet jacks with payloads of 2,500+ lbs.
• Flexibility and availability to support changing peak-season business needs, including overtime, extended workdays, and additional workdays.

Responsibilities

• Pack individual customer orders at a stationary pack station.
• Pull totes from the conveyor and prepare orders for shipment.
• Follow packing requirements and handle products with care.
• Use and restock shipping materials at pack stations.
• Safely handle and use dry ice as needed.
• Meet or exceed department units-per-hour productivity standards.
• Follow safety, security, and SQF requirements.
• Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance.
• Work overtime, extended hours, and additional days as required during peak periods.
• Work to established standards in departments outside of Configurable Gifts when needed.
• Perform additional duties and support other departments as assigned.

Benefits

• Seasonal incentive of $1.50 per hour.
