About The Position
We are looking to hire a Packer in our Packaging Department to join our team to process our Specialized and High Efficiency orders. There are 2 open positions for the second shift (3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.). The Packer will be responsible for processing all specialized orders according to the schedule established by the Opener in each department. The High Efficiency Packer will be responsible for packing orders alongside the branding station(s) according to the schedule set by the Opener. The High Efficiency Packer should also be able to efficiently communicate with the assigned Opener and Operator as needed, in order to complete packing an order with minimal delays and accumulation.
Requirements
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Good command of the English language with a working knowledge of French
Responsibilities
- Pack the branded orders in the same sequence as the Operator.
- Perform a secondary product and imprint quality inspection.
- Take necessary actions to prevent any packaging delays.
- Able to identify between High Efficiency vs. Specialized orders.
- Communicate with the Shipping Department when order is ready to be handed off.
- Complete necessary documentation and reports.
- Review order information.
- Gather necessary components being packed.
- Begin packing the specialized order or the High Efficiency order in line with the branding station.
- Complete order and corresponding reports and documentations.
- Place completed order and corresponding area (rack or pallet).
- Communicate with the Shipping Department when ready to hand over.
- Prepare for the next order.
