About The Position
The Packer position at Hillandale Farms is responsible for packaging eggs in containers as well as inspecting during that process to ensure quality.
Requirements
- Must be dependable and ready to work at the start of their shift.
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Conduct self in a professional manner
- Reliable and team player
Responsibilities
- Packs eggs on racks, pallets or in boxes per processing/customer schedule and customer requirements
- Ensures code dates on cartons are legible, and label requirements are met including information on label and actual placement
- Places finished product boxes on appropriate pallet as they come through the machine.
- Must maintain a clean, safe and productive work area throughout the day
- Will adhere to Hillandale’s safety practices, follow and encourage Hillandale’s Good Manufacturing Practices
- Responsible for reporting and incidents and/or observations seen or noticed that may impact food safety, food quality or personnel safety to management immediately
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Eggs that are not able to be packed are removed from line and disposed of accordingly
