About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring product safety and quality through various packing and operational duties. The role involves maintaining a safe working environment, monitoring product quality, and performing tasks related to material handling and packaging.

Requirements

Fundamental responsibility to ensure product safety and quality.
Understand and adhere to all Silgan safety policies and procedures.
Ability to monitor ware for quality defects.
Ability to pack at standard rate.
Ability to operate a punch.
Ability to load conveyors and flamers.
Ability to practice housekeeping on assigned line(s) and around machine.
Ability to remove scrap from around the line.
Ability to grind and pull plastic as needed.
Ability to make and unitize cartons.
Ability to initial and date box labels.
Ability to make out unit tickets.
Ability to perform other work assigned by the Supervisor.
Ability to work with 30-40 lb. materials.

Responsibilities

Ensure product safety and quality as it applies to all duties.
Promote a safe working environment and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Monitor ware for quality defects and promptly inform the operator and/or the coordinator.
Pack at standard rate.
Operate a punch.
Load conveyors and flamers.
Practice housekeeping on assigned line(s) and around machine including mopping if necessary.
Remove scrap from around the line.
Grind and pull plastic as needed.
Make and unitize cartons as assigned.
Initial and date box labels.
Make out unit tickets.
Perform other work assigned by the Supervisor.
Ability to work with 30-40 lb. materials.
