The Packer position involves packing the appropriate number of bags into a box and pushing the box down the line. This role requires participation as a member of the team, contributing to ongoing development and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies. The individual will coordinate work to ensure best practices with all team members and attend appropriate team meetings. A key aspect of this role is fostering team cohesiveness and taking responsibility to identify and resolve issues. The Packer must be familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies) and understand their role in supporting these systems, including the impact of individual actions and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
