The Tray Packer is responsible for reviewing the production schedule, verifying production plan numbers, and noting any changes for trays, tray size, or tray printing. This role ensures that the machine, trays, and printer are set up correctly according to the production schedule. The Tray Packer also ensures proper shrink wrap materials are supplied and staged, loads according to procedure, and saves tray pallet identification tags, recording tag information and weight. Additionally, the role involves reworking damaged trays, checking machine operation for correct feeding, gluing, coding, shrink film application, and film usage, and checking products for labeling defects, correct UPC codes, product codes, dates, and tray printing. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the entire shift. Required PPE includes hearing protection and steel toe shoes. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, along with basic math skills, and the ability to read, write, and speak English.
